What that looks like on one farm

These figures describe one specific installation over the twelve months to August 2026. Generation is metered at the inverters; savings are reconciled against the client's Eskom invoices. The return is calculated over 25 years assuming 8% annual tariff escalation, 0.5% annual panel degradation, maintenance at 1% of capital a year, an inverter replacement in year 12, and VAT reclaimed. Your own result will differ - it depends on your tariff, how much of your generation you use on site, your consumption pattern and what your system costs.
